BigBasket, meanwhile, has a strong private label (BB Royal) that undercuts national brands. Which platform actually saves you more?

We compared 250 products across both platforms in June 2026. Here is what we found.

DMart Ready vs BigBasket: Branded Staples

DMart Ready is consistently 5–15% cheaper than BigBasket on national brand staples. Aashirvaad Atta 10kg: ₹368 on DMart Ready vs ₹422 on BigBasket. Fortune Refined Oil 1L: ₹121 vs ₹133. Tata Tea Gold 250g: ₹88 vs ₹96.

DMart's sourcing scale and no-frills model means it simply sources branded products at lower margins. If you are loyal to national brands, DMart Ready is usually cheaper.

DMart Ready vs BigBasket: Private Label

BigBasket wins on private label. BB Royal atta, rice and spices are 20–30% cheaper than national brands — and often cheaper than even DMart's branded pricing. If you are willing to use BigBasket's house brand, you can undercut DMart Ready on most staples.

DMart has its own private label (D Mart brand) but its range is narrower and not available in all pin codes on DMart Ready.

DMart Ready vs BigBasket: Delivery and Availability

DMart Ready is only available in cities where DMart stores operate (Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore and a few others). BigBasket is available in 30+ cities. If you are outside a DMart catchment area, BigBasket is your only option of the two.

BigBasket offers 2-hour BB Now delivery and next-day scheduled slots. DMart Ready offers scheduled delivery (same day or next day) but does not have a 2-hour option in all cities.
